Subject: EBCDIC codes

Your IBM people didn't know???!!! The 3270 sends a structured stream back to the CPU. The key pressed which generates the interrupt is called the Attention IDentifier byte. (AID byte). This byte is the first or second byte in the stream, depending on how the info is read (and from what). Not being in the office I can't give you the details, but you want to look into a manual concerning 3270 data streams. The one I use is (I believe) called the 3270 Data Stream Programmer's Reference (it's been a few months since I last used it). Feel free to E-mail me if you need more info so I can reply from the office where I can look up the info more completely. -- TWZ ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Does anybody know where I might find the EBCDIC values for the PF keys? I have looked through manuals for the past 1 1/2 days and have not located the hex value for the function keys on a 3270 key board. I have asked our local IBM people and they are not sure where to find it. Thanks Louie
