But SCOX, and the Yahoo discussion board related to it is not an "ordinary" financial discussion forum. "The SCO Group" has made a wide variety of controversial statements regarding the Linux operating system and Free and Open Source Software generally. Aside from the zeal pro and con in discussion of SCOX's specific claims and court cases, the issues raised and discussed on this board relating to those matters frequently touch upon questions of policy and politics which will shape this new century. For that reason, as an advocate of F/OSS the owner/maintainer of this site has chosen to present this archive in hopes that it may be of use to those seeking enlightenment upon the many fascinating aspects of issues arising out of SCOX's aggressive persuit of controversy. Presently, this archive has only minor extra utility over raw access to the yahoo board: Yahoo lost about 30k posts (145000-178000) they are here, and I offer a threaded view which Yahoo lacks.
